7 Steps to Great Makeup - - -1. Avoid wearing too muchMakeup is meant to enhance features not bring negative attention to you. That's what wearing too much makeup will do; it will bring you unwanted attention. Don't wear too much of anything such as:i) Eyeliner: dark, thick eyeliner will make you look overdone and will ruin the rest of your makeup.ii) Mascara: too much mascara looks fake and will flake. It looks especially bad if worn with thick eyeliner or dark blue eye eye shadow.iii) Foundation: Make sure your foundation is the same color as your skin. Foundation is meant to protect and give the face a smooth look. The magic word is blend.iv) Powder:The same holds true for powder - not too much. Also, be sure to blend your makeup so there are no obvious lineS2. LipsApply lip liner to completely cover the lips, add color and your lipstick will stay on much longer. Make sure your lip liner doesn't show. Also, your lip color should match your skin tone; wear cool colors if you have cool coloring and warm colors if you have warm coloring. If you want to make your lips look smaller, keep your liner on the inside of your lips. However, if you decide to make your lips look larger, going outside the natural outline of you lips is a mistake. This can look quite messy and unnatural.3. Appropriate makeupWear makeup that is appropriate for the occasion. If you are going to the beach you shouldn't wear the same or as much makeup as you would if you were going dancing. Also, when you are in daylight your makeup should be a lighter than when you are out for the evening.4. Too little or no makeupSome women don't wear makeup because they are not sure how to use it and are afraid of being overdone. If you are unsure, start will light colours in your shade. Start slowly and add one product at a time. Maybe start with foundation, add mascara, blush or lipstick. If you are not used to wearing makeup, using a lot a first may be a little too much for you, so start slowly. The bottom line is a little is better than none. If you are still unsure seek professional advice.5. Overall lookWhen your makeup is completed it should look natural. That means avoiding colours that clash. If you have dark skin and hair you will look better in darker shades; light colours will make you look washed out. If your hair and skin tone are light, light colours will look better on you. Dark makeup will make you look older and harsh. If you have oily skin, first use oil control moisturizer and foundation. Then be sure to wear loose powder, keeping pressed powder with you for touch ups.6. Hair colorYour hair color should also be in harmony with your skin. If you have dark hair and you want to add color, keep it close to the same shade. If you have light hair, use light colors. As you age your skin will lighten, so should your hair color. One last thing about hair color - if you do color you hair be sure you keep it up, don't let your roots show.7. One last thingKeep makeup looking fresh all day by doing regular touch ups. Don't let your makeup fade or crease. Smile!!!
Everytime I go in to see the dentist for that annual cleaning I hear the same thing. "You only need to floss the ones that you want to keep" I think it's the joke of the industry and everyone uses it. Still, there's something very important in the statement. You see, I'm the guy that simply loves to floss my teeth. In the car, at home watching television, and of course every evening after a good and thorough brushing. If you're not in love with dental floss, then you probably don't realize not only how important it is for good oral hygiene but also how great it makes your teeth feel. Consider teeth like boxes stacked up against each other. Two sides show while two sides are against each other. Now imagine how much a tooth brush can clean those two sides of your teeth that are against one another. Not much, right? Brushing alone simply isn't enough to reach the plaque from the inside surface between your teeth. The Interproximal areas or places between your teeth and below the gum line are two spots where the toothbrush simply can't reach and old food particles get stuck, becoming a perfect growth environment for plaque. These are the places where cavities are also likely to develop. Once plaque hardens, it needs removed at that regular visit to the dentist I was telling you about above. Daily flossing however, cleans out the plaque before it completely hardens, keeping your teeth looking better, and healthier, and removing a major cause of bad breath. Drumroll please......So Enter Dental Floss and the act of flossing. Dental floss looks simply like thread, usually made of inorganic material such as nylon. Dental floss comes in a wide variety of shapes and sizes including waxed, non-waxed, flat, round and textured, with baking soda, with fluoride and even with it's own dental floss holders. These items can be found at drug stores, grocery stores or through medical supply stores.So when flossing, find one that you like. My personal favorite is mint flavored waxed. Boy, you just can't beat the ease of use and minty flavor. Anyway....Dental floss comes on a roll in a plastic container. Pull off a couple of feet of floss. Hey, it's cheap and it makes the job much easier.Next, wind one end around your index finger a couple of times. The trick here is to wind it around enough that you can pull the long end and it won't slip off your finger. Now grasp the long end, wrap it once or twice around your other index finger leaving about 1-2 inches of floss between both fingers and prepare for a wonderful experience. Simply open your mouth, place one finger against the 1-2 inch piece of floss and push between two teeth. When just starting out, use any teeth that you're comfortable reaching. Now once the floss is between your teeth, use it like a little brush and pull it against one tooth and move it up and down between the teeth then do the other tooth surface. Finally pull the dental floss out from between those two teeth.You should feel a little tug and a snap as the floss frees itself from between the two teeth. Sometimes with a good build up of plaque, this snap will release little pieces of white like goo. This is good.Next, wrap another two inches of floss around your index finger, grab the long end again with another inch or two of clean dental floss and you're ready for the next teeth. Repeat with another two teeth until you go around and clean between all of them. personally, I can do several teeth before I need to "freshen" my floss. Flossing leaves your mouth feeling clean and fresh without the need to artificial breath fresheners.If done right with healthy teeth and gums, flossing will not by itself cause your mouth or gums to bleed. Bleeding can happen however if you accidentally push the floss into your gums to hard. Not to worry though, a quick rinse with cold water will usually take care of everything. One final word of caution. Flossing can be addictive

Vitamin A keeps skin supple, and may prevent skin damage.Symptoms of vitamin A deficiency include dry and rough skin, localized breakouts, fragile skin, wrinkle prone skin, poor skin texture, and splitting nails.One thing to remember with taking vitamin A supplements is not to exceed the recommended daily dose, as it can build up in your body if taken in excess. Taking 10000 IU per day is fine.Vitamin C is another important beauty supplement. Not only does it help in skin repair by building collagen, but lower levels of vitamin C in the skin are associated with aging and UV damage. Taking 500mg to 2000mg per day, in divided doses, is recommended.An excellent antioxidant supplement to take is alpha lipoic acid (ALA), especially if you're taking the other antioxidant vitamins C and E, and coenzyme Q10. Alpha lipoic acid is not only an antioxidant in its own right, but it has the capacity to recycle these other antioxidants. Alpha lipoic acid is also an anti inflammatory agent, and improves insulin resistance. Insulin resistance is associated with obesity and heart disease. ALA increases the rate at which glucose is removed from the bloodstream, and helps the body detoxify metals that have accumulated. Alpha lipoic acid also prevents the cross linking of fibers, which leads to aging and the development of wrinkles.Alpha lipoic acid is produced by the body, but only in small amounts. It is used by the cells in their production of cellular energy, and we only benefit from its antioxidant effects if the amount of ALA in our bodies is greater than that which our cells need for normal functioning. And, unfortunately, the levels of ALA in our body decline as we age. One advantage of "alpha lipoic acid" is that it is both fat and water soluble. This means it can work in all parts of our body, making it very versatile. Most antioxidants are either fat or water soluble, but not both. For example, vitamin A is fat soluble, and vitamin C is water soluble. Hair TypesWhen you read the commercial literature, talk with your sales girls, advertisement pamphlets, you are more often advised to buy your shampoo according to your hair types. However, this seems to be another marketing technique that is commonly adopted by big shampoo companies to create more market segmentations in order to sell their products. The truth is that the categories are created much more than you need. The logic is that the differences in terms of their ingredients are minimal. In fact, those shampoos have to share a lot more common ingredients such as surfactants, quaternary ammonium compounds, conditioning properties, sodium lauryl sulfate, water-binding properties, and preservatives in order to cleanse your hair and give your hair the best condition.2. Natural ExtractsHerbal extract such as aloe vera appears to be another boosting factor that is commonly accepted as an important element in choosing your shampoos. Some elements that are contained in certain herbal extracts can be very benefit to your hair shafts. For example, anti-inflammatory elements and antioxidant. However, the truth is that those elements are easily wiped off when you try to rinse your hair after applying the shampoo during your shower. The fact is that they just do not 'stick' on your hair!
